Launching the Food Blogger’s Calendar

I love the idea of linking my blog posts to major events and holidays, but I tend to find that they creep up on me without me realising. I’ve then got no time to produce something relevant. To try and get myself organised, I’ve created a calendar of events to give me a bit of time to plan ahead. Marzipan and Cherry Cake

Tomorrow there is a coffee morning at my son’s school, as at many other places around the country, to raise money for Macmillan. I’ll be going along to support the school and this brilliant charity and I’ll be doing my bit by drinking lots of tea and coffee and sampling lots of cake!!

Queen of Puddings Cupcakes

For a while now I’ve been thinking of making a Queen of Puddings. It combines custard, jam and meringue – three things I love to eat. Then I saw the Betta Living – build a better cupcake competition and it got me thinking – wouldn’t the Queen of Puddings go well in a cupcake. So I got to work in the kitchen and it turns out I was right, custard, jam and meringue go very well in a cupcake indeed!
