20 Amazing Apple Recipes and #TheFoodCalendar October 2016

It’s time to let you know what’s in The Food Calendar for October. We’re finally in Autumn (although I’m happy to say that the weather hasn’t realised yet and it’s still lovely and warm). I’m fully suspecting that it’ll get it’s revenge in a few weeks but I’m going to enjoy the last little hints of summer while I still can 🙂 .

One food that I firmly associate with Autumn is apples, so this month I’ve selected some amazing apple recipes to share with you to celebrate Bramley Apple Week from the 3rd to the 9th October and Apple Day on the 21st.

Head down the page for a full list of what’s on in October and take a look at the recipes that have been shared this month, and if you’re a blogger then make sure you come and join in 🙂 .

    • I was watching GBBO this week and drooling over the Marjolaine, it’s definitely my kind of dessert. I’m looking forward to seeing your version of it. Your apples roses were one of the first on my list as soon as I’d picked this month’s theme, they’re so pretty.

  9. Wow, there are some amazing recipes linked up this month – wish I hadn’t looked whilst at work ( really hungry now). I have been given some Bramley apples so hoping to make something with them this week to take into work and I will link up a few others as well. Who knew October was such a fab foodie month?! x

    • Lavender & Lovage has some great Bramley Apple recipes if you’re after some inspiration.

October and November are great months for foodie events and then everything goes quiet in December as all anyone can think about is Christmas.

I love the sound of a Tikka Masala traybake – yum!
