    • Charlotte Oates

I’ll be adding the 2018 calendar at the end of this month. It’s usually pretty empty at the start as a lot of event dates are yet to be set but I’ll keep updating it every month as and when I find new events/dates.

  10. Thank you so much, this is really helpful!

  11. Thank you so much for putting this list together! It was just what I was looking for today and you have saved me lot’s of hours looking through the Internet!!

    • Hi Danny,

Awesome work. This is really useful for me adding these dates into my Google Calendar as I can theme my teaching on them.

Is the .ICS calendar being updated? Do the events repeat each year?

      Many thanks

  20. Hello Charlotte,

Could you please add International Beer and Pizza Day to your list? It is celebrated October 9th each year, so, this Sunday. You can find more info about it on the official site: https://beerandpizzaday.com

    Thank you!

  21. This is such an amazing resource. I’m a food marketeer and totally agree that this is an awesome tool. My husband is French so I had a look on some french websites and found the following:
24 Feb – International Barmen Day

7 Sept – World Salami Day
    13 Sept- World Peanut Day

There were lots more days that I think were only in France. My favourite was 16 Jan – hot & spicy food day!

    • Thanks so much for this Amanda. I’ve quickly added the October events in and I’ll look at adding the others over the next few days.

  22. Fantastic list, as a restaurant marketeer this is an awesome tool to keep track of events. I think the only one I’d point out is National Burger Day – August 24th.

    • Charlotte Oates

Hi Hazel, I’ve added it to my calendar. It’s been on my list to add for a while but I hadn’t been able to find any details (including dates) when I googled it so couldn’t add it in.

  33. Bookmarked!

Would Super Bowl Sunday party food be a thing? I can see Feb is already looking pretty busy, and it’s a very American-centric affair.

    • Yes, definitely a thing. I probably won’t add it into to calendar to keep it managable (I have a huge spreadsheet of events that I check the dates for each month!), but you’re more than welcome to add super bowl themed posts to the linkup.

  34. Thank You for putting this together. So useful for planning my year of social media posts! 🙂

  35. This is so useful…I did know you had it on your blog, but I hadn’t really looked at it properly…but now I am thinking about the year ahead, so I thought I’d pop over and take a look and it’s brilliant!! Thanks for compiling it 🙂

      • Thanks Charlotte, I will check back again…although the events you already have are more than enough for me to be getting on with…it’s amazing how many foodie days and weeks there are in a year! Eb x

        • You should look at what they have in the US – there seems to be a day for pretty much every type of food you can think of!

  36. Ahh, thanks for keeping this up to date, Charlotte – it’s so useful for planning the year ahead! Happy New Year!!

    • I’m so glad you find it helpful. I usually update it just before the end of each month so make sure you check back regularly.
