I’ve got just the recipe to get you all through the cold weather we’ve got at the moment… The Ultimate Healthy Hot Chocolate!Whilst I’ve love to take the credit for coming up with this delicious hot chocolate recipe, sadly I can’t. It’s a guest recipe from Amy at Amy Savage Nutrition.

The recipe I’m sharing today is for The Ultimate Healthy Hot Chocolate, one of those recipes that proves that you can make something that’s chocolatey and indulgent yet still full of nutritional benefits too. In each of her recipes Amy shares what’s so great about each of the ingredients and why you should be including them in your diet, just like this…

Key Nutrients

Cacao Powder – One of my favourites cacao powder offers more nutrients than its counterpart aa powder. Cacao powder is less processed than cocoa powder and is made by cold pressing cacao beans meaning more nutritional enzymes are retained, which means more benefits for you.

Ginger – A powerful ingredient that has so many benefits, ginger is well worth creeping into your diet wherever possible. Some of these benefits are its ability to reduce inflammation in the body and its powerful work as an antioxidant to help remove toxins.

Almond milk – A perfect source of monounsaturated fats, almond milk is also high in Vitamin E, which is another really good source of antioxidants. It also tastes pretty nice too!

I usually serve myself a cup of hot chocolate in winter, it makes me feel so good all the time. I normally just make it by the cocoa powder simply. Yours looks very nice and nutritious. I’m sure to try it xD
Your big sister, Amy is doing well!! 🙂
